  1. I’m a Paediatric Surgeon, work in East London, 1000km from Cape Town, in South Africa.I attended the colorectal week and thoroghly enjoyed it. Two of our patients were operated during the week. We are grateful for that. What appealed to me was the simplicity, down-to-earth nature and willingness to teach of all the members, Dr Marc Levitt in particular. After coming back from the course,I read one of the articles written by Dr Levitt, Prof Pena and Dr Andrea Bischoff in PSI re the long segment HD; I could actually “hear” Marc’s/Prof Pena’s words while reading as they write as they talk- in simple English. I also had the previledge of attending the faculty dinner. The venue, the weather and the company were picture perfect. Overall, it was a memorable week. In addition to the knowledge, I made some very good contacts with colleagues from Cincinnati and also from other African countries. This mutual collaboration can only help our patients in both continents.
Sincere thanks and kind regards to the entire team lead by Dr Levitt,
